I am 28 years old and have been working for Cub Med for about 3 years. I first came to Club Med as a GM when I was 11 years old and automatically knew that one day I wanted to become a G.O. My dream came true after I finished University and went as a Receptionist to Lindeman Island. Since then 3 years have passed and now I am working at the Circus, having the best times of my life.
It’s difficult to consider Club Med as a job ….. As a lot of things that are considered work are really what I enjoy doing in my free time anyway. Every day presents new opportunities for learning and developing as well as meeting new and interesting people.
Being a Club Med GO is an opportunity to work with and meet people from all over the world, in different paradises around the world. Life is never dull, there is always something to be learnt, tired, tasted, explored or experienced. Whether it is performing on stage, training for a flying trapeze show or enjoying a new dish from the amazing buffets ….. there is always something new happening. Life outside Club Med for me seems colourless by comparison.
I have a much greater appreciation and understanding of different cultures and ways of life. Dealing with so many different people every day has improved my communication skills and enabled me to learn many new languages. Through Circus I have found my ’clown within’ and learnt new forms of humour and ways to make people laugh and smile. I have learnt the art of performing on stage and relish any opportunity to get on stage. My dancing still needs some work however!!! That’s next on the list...
